WorldShift Network founded
On June 12, 2007, the day of Prof. Ervin Laszlo's 75th birthday, the Club of Budapest WorldShift Network was established as an international foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to connect the plenty of organizations and individuals throughout the world already working for a value based new civilization in order to strengthen their concerted political effectiveness in civil society. The founders are Prof. Ervin Laszlo (president), Johannes Heimrath and Wolfgang Riehn (chairmen). The foundation of the Club of Budapest WorldShift Network marks the first step in the ongoing process of restructuring the worldwide organization of the Club as an answer to the demanding needs of the time.
The Club of Budapest WorldShift Network will focus on six topics:
- Unity of Humanity and Nature (shifting metaphors from domination to unity)
- Global Subsistence Economy (shifting mtephors from exploitation to sustainability)
- Salutogenesis (shifting metaphors from desease control to a healthy living)
- Global Wisdom Culture (shifting metaphors from brain-centered knowledge to heart-centered wisdom)
- Participative Civil Society (shifting metaphors from ruling to participation)
- Planetary Peace and Freedom (shifting metaphors from segregation to community)
These six topics are understood as expressions of the already ongoing change of global consciousness.
Wolfgang Riehn and Johannes Heimrath were appointed directors of the Club of Budapest WorldShift Network. During the coming months they will set up a new structure for the whole organization. In future the WorldShift Network will act as the main operational body of the Club.
